Hidden treasure of pirates
The robbed gold and treasure pirates often hid everywhere they could. They chose the caves, grottos for the gold hiding; they also buried the treasure into the land and put skeletons to protect it. Thousands of books, films depict the interesting process of treasure hiding and not less interesting process of treasure searching. Thousands of naïve searchers of adventures were looking all over the world to find the pirate's gold. But there is nobody who managed to find the treasure. And everything can be explained by one reason. Pirates didn't really hide their treasure.
Of course sometimes people find the gold that sank in the sea in the places of ships sinking. But this gold is not the pirate's gold but the gold of Spanish armada.
Getting into the arms of enemies, pirates tried to buy their freedom with the help of the stories about the hidden treasure. However till nowadays there are no evidences that would prove the true of these talks.
The life of sailor and especially of the pirates is so unstable and unpredictable as well as dangerous that there is the risk not to get the hidden money any more. Then what is the use to hide it? That is why pirates didn't do anything and there are a lot of evidences about it including the stories of famous writers that say that pirates spent everything they had at once after coming to the port.
There can be also the mentioning about the share of the prey and their further hiding. But this is not true because doesn't correspond to the financial structure of piracy as even the most successful captains didn't manage to save something precious.
